Famous Jameis thinks little girls should sit down and be quiet.

When the Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback felt he was losing the attention of some of his St. Petersburg, Florida elementary school audience, he decided to do the only thing that made sense: tell the boys to stand up and be strong and the girls to sit and be quiet.

Um, what?

You would think that with Winston's spotty past regarding his treatment of the opposite sex including allegations of sexual assault white at Florida State,  he might have known this was a bad idea. But apparently not.

“All my young boys, stand up. The ladies, sit down,” Winston said. “But all my boys, stand up. We strong, right? We strong! We strong, right? All my boys, tell me one time: I can do anything I put my mind to. Now a lot of boys aren’t supposed to be soft-spoken. You know what I’m saying? One day y’all are going to have a very deep voice like this. One day, you’ll have a very, very deep voice."

Deep voices! Yay puberty!

“But the ladies, they’re supposed to be silent, polite, gentle. My men, my men [are] supposed to be strong. I want y’all to tell me what the third rule of life is: I can do anything I put my mind to. Scream it!”

Boys loud and strong! Girls sit and quiet! That was written in my best caveman voice, by the way.

Jameis responded to criticism saying that he used a "poor choice of words" that took away from his positive message.

Here's a clip of the remarks:

Maybe someday Jameis will learn that girls are strong and have voices too. But until then, maybe he should stay out of the inspirational speaking business.
